Fred Bahnson
is traveling as a Kellogg Food & Society fellow at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy. His writing has appeared in Orion, The Sun, and Best American Spiritual Writing 2007 (Mariner). He lives with his wife and two sons on a farm in Transylvania County, North Carolina.
Rev. Bliss W. Browne
is a mother, civic leader, and founder and President of Imagine Chicago, an innovative civic project founded in 1992 that has inspired a social innovation movement on six continents (www.imaginechicago.org). An Episcopal priest, Bliss was formerly a Vice President and Division Head at the First National Bank of Chicago where she worked as a corporate banker from 1975-1991. She is a sought after keynote speaker, facilitator, consultant and trainer nationally and internationally.
David Castro
is the President of I-LEAD (www.i-lead.org) and its Chief Executive Officer. In 1991, Mr. Castro joined the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted District Attorney Abraham in creating the inter-agency Public Nuisance Task Force targeting crack houses and nuisance liquor establishments, and served as its first Chief. He has also served as President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association, implementing more than 50 volunteer programs serving the public and the Bar.
Ran Coble
Ran Coble was one of the first staff for the Fiscal Research Division of the North Carolina General Assembly when it was created in 1971. He also spent four years as legal counsel to the head of what is now the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services. While serving in that Department, he was assigned to explain and guide 54 pieces of legislation through the General Assembly and was successful in securing passage of 51 of these bills. Today, Coble is the Executive Director of the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research, a position he has held since 1981.
Edward DeJesus
is the President and Founder of Youth Development and Research Fund, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of at-risk youth, and the policies and programs that serve them through research, training and the power of youth cultural competence (YCC). DeJesus is the author of Countering the Urban Influence: Reclaiming the Stolen Economic Fortunes of America’s Youth. For the past twenty years, DeJesus has committed his life to improving programs and policies for at-risk youth. He has directed several major youth initiatives in the South Bronx, Harlem and Washington Heights sections of New York City. DeJesus has been featured in the Washington Post, Black Enterprise Magazine, The Miami Herald, The Baltimore Sun, and by National Public Radio (NPR).
Renee Gurneau
is an enrolled member of Red Lake Band of Ojibwe. Her Ojibwe identity is the base of and informs all of her beliefs and actions. A long time activist, she is involved in many peace and justice initiatives and in the revitalization of indigenous spiritual and cultural life.  The former President of Red Lake Nation College, Renee is now a current Bush Leadership Fellow.
Rick Jackson
is President and Co-Director of the Center for Courage & Renewal (www.couragerenewal.org), focusing primarily on community and financial development, evaluation, and outreach. Rick consults and speaks with non-profit organizations and foundations on a range of topics, including sustaining the identity and integrity of teachers and leaders, the role of youth in culture, community leadership development, and strategies to foster long-term social change.
Christopher Musselwhite
founded Discovery Learning, Inc. (www.discoverylearning.com) in 1990 and is currently the president and CEO. Chris has designed and delivered programs in leadership development, creativity and innovation, managing change, and team building. Additionally, he has published numerous articles, book chapters and his own book on leadership development, self-managed teams, change management and innovation. Chris and Discovery Learning have been featured in numerous publications, including Business Week, American Executive, Training and Development Journal, Business Week Japan, Harvard Management Update, and Fortune.
Larraine Matusak
Dr. Matusak was a Leadership Scholar and President of the consulting firm, LARCON ASSOCIATES. She has been a scholar and practitioner of leadership for many years in a wide variety of leadership roles. She has served as Program Officer in Education and Leadership and as the first Leadership Scholar at the W.K.Kellogg Foundation. Matusak designed and directed the Kellogg National Fellowship Program, a leadership development program for people in the early years of their career. Larry Nyland
is an educator with a passion for building teams that improve student learning. Dr. Nyland was named Washington State Superintendent of the Year for 2007, and National Finalist for his work in the Marysville School District. Currently, he serves on the State Board of Education’s Math Panel, is President of the Washington Alliance for Better Schools, represents schools on the Washington State Educational Coordinating Council, and serves on the design team for the Washington School Leadership Academy.
Paul Terry, Ph.D.
is the President and CEO of the Stay Well Health Management (www.staywellhealthmanagement.com). Paul was also on the Health Education faculty at St. Cloud State University and Hamline University. Terry is also a co-founder of Shape Zimbabwe, a NGO committed to HIV prevention in Africa. The programs that Dr. Terry directed at Park Nicollet have won the C. Everett Koop National Health Award and the Minnesota Department of Health Award for Excellence in Health Promotion.
